Earl Grey Tea Fragrance OilEarl Grey Tea Fragrance Oil – Fragrance Oil Spotlight

Earl Grey Tea Fragrance Oil from Nature’s Garden is a sweet, refreshing aroma of herbal notes uplifted by the subtle scent of citrus.  Did you know? While Earl Grey Tea is a distinctly English refreshment, it is not of European origin!  Flavored teas and scented teas are unique in origin to China.  Chinese tea masters were constantly experimenting with different blends of herbs, oils, and teas to create more exotic flavors.  This not only captured the attention of local markets, but drove international trade with travelers who wished to return from China with distinct Eastern flavors.  Earl Grey tea is named for Charles Grey, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1830-1834.  The tea was a  gift from a Chinese tea master.  The bergamot flavor was added to cover up the lime taste of the well water at the Earl of Grey’s estate.  Earl Grey’s wife loved the tea so much that she had it made exclusively for her personal and social use.
