Eagulls Hold Their Post-Punk Throne with ‘Skipping’ [Stream]

Eagulls have released “Skipping”, the newest song from their forthcoming sophomore album, Ullages out May 13. The English band is on track continue their reign as the heirs to The Cure’s goth post-punk throne with the tune, pummeling in with a heavy bass line and singer George Mitchell’s Robert Smith-ian yelps and yowls. The track oozes with Pornography-era angst and anger, and is sleeker and less brash than the band’s debut, which was full of a fun but youthful recklessness. “Skipping” finds Eagulls matured, and dare I say sexier, ready tackle their next era as a band.
