Battlefield: Hardline might be around the corner, but EA has admitted it “incorrectly” banned Battlefield 3 players using anti-cheat software. Oops.
The Battlefield 3 bans were confirmed over on EA’s Help blog, which explains that players using PunkBuster anti-cheat software have found themselves banned incorrectly.
“We are investigating an issue of Punkbuster bans that were incorrectly applied to some of our players,” the statement reads. “Please undertstand that our game advisors are not able to access or overturn Punkbuster bans, but we’re working with our partners at Even Balance to get this resolved as quickly as possible.”
