One of my favorite products by Sigma is their Dry'n Shape for makeup brushes. If you invest in makeup brush kits or individual brushes it's important to take good care of them. The main reason I love this product is for its "shaping" effect. Before purchasing this product, I would let my brushes air dry, which is perfectly fine BUT the bristles on the bigger brushes don't keep the brushes original form and causes the bristles to fray. I don't find the dry'n shape as necessary for smaller brushes as the bristles are a lot smaller and dry quicker.
I like the packaging of this product, there are twelve slots for brushes. About five bigger ones and the rest vary from medium to small sizes. The elastic bands hold the brushes in place and helps "shape" the brushes as they are drying.
The Dry'n Shape claims to dry even the most dense brushes within 4-6 hours. I would definitely say it takes at least 5 hours for the denser brushes to dry but as I said before that's not really the main reason I use this product.
How to clean brushesClean your brushes the same way you wash your hair!
Step 1: Begin with rinsing them wish allows removing some product from the brushes and saving some of your brush cleanser.
Step 2: Pour some of your brush cleaner (I use the brush cleanser by MAC) in your hand (depending on how big & how much product is on the brush) and swirl the brush in the cleanser. Turn the tap on and allow some water to mix in with the cleanser. You may have to repeat this step a couple times depending on the brush.
Step 3: Once the brush is rinsed well and free of brush cleanser, squeeze the water out from the brush and set it on a towel. Continue with the rest of your brushes.
Dry'n Shape
Once all your brushes are rinsed and the water is squeezed out, slide the brushes through the top loop and then pull it through until it is secure.
Lay the Dry'n Shape open on a flat area. I wouldn't recommend closing the Dry'n Shape while brushes are in it as it will take longer to dry.
After about 4-6 hours later, remove the brushes from the Dry'n Shape pulling the bristles through the top loop and then removing the brush. If some brushes are still a little damp, I usually just sit them somewhere where the bristles can overhang and don't touch anything. This allows the brush to dry but still keeping the brush shape.
