Drive to Survive: The Importance of Safe Driving

By Peppertan

Tell me, how can I not be green with envy?  Aerosmith is in town for a concert, and a friend is watching- without me, of course.  Oh, I’d give my left arm just to see Steven Tyler perform live on stage!  I can just imagine myself rushing to the concert venue- if I were going, that is.  But even if I were up to my eyeballs with excitement, I still wouldn’t be caught speeding on the road.

Lately there have been quite a number of road accidents around the metro, and the footages on the evening news aren’t for the faint of heart.  Mostly, these mishaps are caused by reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.

There should be more mobile medical units available to quickly respond to any emergency on the road.  Looking around on the internet, I’m amazed at how these don’t look like mobile units at all.  The interiors are so comfy-looking, that you’d think you were in a hotel or upscale hospital.

So whenever I find myself behind the wheel, I always drive carefully.  I try not to let my emotions get the better of me when a taxi driver cuts me off, for instance.  Other drivers should try and do the same.  Maybe then, there’ll be no more road accidents on the news.
