Dressing Up

By Thedreamery

My favorite part of Halloween is dressing up, transforming yourself into someone or something you always wish you could be. Pretty and feminine, which is my typical look, or creepy and scary, the possibilities are endless. But when you can’t decide on a costume, sometimes dramatic makeup speaks for itself. There just aren’t enough days of Halloween to become these amazing characters. ef9d68b0592a247c402d1bae6cf1063fThere’s always the cute and punky rag dollPicMonkey CollageI can easily see myself pulling a dress for this girly pop art look. It would definitely be fun to be a comic book character!

I’ll admit I had to look this up, but I loved the idea and makeup for Beyoncé‘s character B.B. Homemaker in her “Why Don’t You Love Me Anymore” video

This slightly reminds me of  Effie Trinket from Hunger Games or a Parisian circus ring leader

The most common costume I’ve seen has been sugar skulls for Dia de los Muertos. The painted makeup is just too beautiful. Hello drama! {image 12, 3, 4, 5}

Halloween is the one time it’s alright for it to be spooky and scary. I love the skeleton, it has been on my list for a while but after this Bride of Frankenstein and mysterious masked look, being scary looks a lot more fun. My love of Greek Mythology has me drawn to the evil Medusa too

I could tap into my animal instinct as a feisty black cat or a majestic peacock

I could also be a villainess, if it meant dressing up as Poison Ivy in this easy to recreate outfit

Too many options…what are your Halloween costume plans this year?
