Dressed to Chill

Dressed to ChillWhat I'm wearing: Club Monaco dress, Calvin Klein sandals, Aldo clutch, Francescas necklace
In true Chicago fashion, we've skipped over spring and hopped right into summer. These next few weeks are some of the most beautiful of the year. The peonies are blooming, the temperatures are that perfect kind of warm, and the skies are blue and cloudless. While enjoying this time of year, my favorite piece of clothing are long, airy dresses.
Long, maxi and midi style dresses are the quintessential summer piece. It goes without saying that such a dress is incredibly comfortable. They are the ultimate garment of leisure. But also, so convenient; you can just slip one on, and go. Lastly, so flattering, giving the illusion of long legs that seem to go on and on for days. They also hide those "not-quote-ready-for-summer" problem areas, like milky white legs or pudgy midsections.
I loved this dress from the moment I saw it, largely because I own absolutely nothing like it. One of my fashion goals this summer is to take some risks, and the ankle-length and spaghetti straps are new for me, so I'm taking a step in the right direction!
