By Michelle Hernandez @Familylovesa
It all begins with a dream. A vision.  We all have dreams for our family and for our children. It's what keeps me motivated and getting to work everyday. It's what keeps this blog going. It's my hopes to surround my children to different cultures. My vision is for them to grow up to be culturally aware and open minded individuals. DreamWeek 2014 Youth and Family Events starts January 10th It's DreamWeek. Advancing the voice and modernizing the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King's vision with a 12 day summit designed to inspire and motivate with all types of events and programs. And I've picked out their youth/family programs to share with you!
  • San Antonio Children's Museum Reading and Workshop: January 11, 2014
Do you have a dream? Share it at the San Antonio Children’s museum. Help us kick off DreamWeek 2014 on Saturday January 11th. We will be honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King with several exciting events. First local author Carmen Tafolla will read from her children’s book “That’s Not Fair!: Emma Tenyuca’s Struggle for Justice.” The reading will serve as the inspiration for age appropriate writing activities focused on two questions: What are your dreams? Where there is a wrong, what can you do to right it?

1st Reading 1:30PM
Writing Workshop 2:00PM – 4:00PM
2nd Reading – 3:00PM

The San Antonio Writing project will help kids create visual representation and written responses to these questions. Their creative insights will be on display at the museum for the rest of DreamWeek.
