The LA scene has been bursting at the seams with great music for a few years now, and they can now claim another “band to watch” among the ranks. Dr. Doctor doesn’t have much information available about them, but what they do have is a spectacular indie-rock track in the vein of mid-career Bright Eyes that will have you absolutely swooning. With brazen vocals, confessional lyrics and a guitar part that kicks in mid-way through and doesn’t let go, “Memory Tapes” is as self assured a track as we’ve heard in quite some time.
