Microsoft has released their long-awaited Metro UI based Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
Apart from having the easy-to-use interface, the Metro UI based Windows 8 operating system is known for its touch-friendly UI. A whole new genre of desktop apps are coming, new gestures, and a completely redesigned browser.
Windows 7 users would only find the Start screen / Home screen to be different, rest all should be exactly the same as Windows 7. You can switch to your desktop view as you have for Windows 7 when you want in Windows 8.
