From Red Collar Brewing in Kamloops in the Okanagan comes their "Doppelbock" a dark german style lager. The beer pours a very deep brown/red colour with a light brown head. The aroma consists of dark fruit, roasted nuts, roasted malts and earth. The flavour is of roasted malts, burnt coffee, dark fruit, resin and bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 7.74% with an IBU of 36. Doppelbock's are a nice style with a ton of flavour and I like what this one is bringing to the table.
Commercial Description: A strong version of a traditional German lager. Dark in colour with a silky rich sweetness & surprisingly smooth finish. No monks, goats or liquid bread were referenced in this writeup. Unpasteurized & unfiltered.
