Cruising red doggies Mari, Kiri and Hine love nothing more than donning a pair of ‘doggles’ and hitting the open road.
And there’s always competition for best seat in the sidecar – right at the front where they can feel the wind on their canine faces.
“When I bring out the bike, they run into it,” said Mary Mayhead, a dog trainer from the Sunshine Coast.
“Kiri usually claims the best spot at the front so she can get the wind in her face without the other two blocking it.”
Months later, she’s clocked up hundreds of kilometres as a mad keen biker dog.
“They go everywhere with us. The rule is when they have their doggles on they have to sit quietly but when they come off they can get out and have a run,” said Ms Mayhead.
The trio of pooches are always the center of attention, especially around Christmas time when they wear their Santa hats.
“They just love posing for photos,” she said.
