Today we are touching a sore topic. A thing we all wish we did, we know it it should be done, but sometimes, we just don’t do it. The topic is reviewing.

After spending a day with Eline at lovelyaudiobooks.info discussing “Would you or do you choose a book solely on the cover?“, today we are visiting Fee Kelly at ebooksaddict to discuss “Do you review all the books that you read?“

All through the month of June, we would be visiting different hosts, discussing various topics on reading and reviewing. Want to be part of future Bookish Blog Hops? Join our Facebook group.

Do you review all of the books you read?

Every author swears by the readers’ reviews. They strive on them. They survive on them. Be it a 5 star review or a 1 star review, every feedback is valuable and helps authors plan their next book on that basis. Authors know that, readers know that, reviewers know that. But not all of us review all the books that we read.

Some of us are hardcore reviewers. These reviewers would never go to the next book without giving their due diligence to the author of the previous book they have read. They would dissect the book and share all their critical comments, be it positive or negative, in the hopes that the author would do a better job next time or continue with the perfection in the next book.

Some of us pick and choose the books we want to review. Not all books go into their radar of putting in efforts and writing a detailed review. They just might put in a star rating on GoodReads and/or Amazon and be done with it. Next best book, here I come!

And there are some of us who don’t bother with reviewing at all. The experience is all about reading and does not include putting in any effort for anything else. They would hop on from book to book without any feedback to the author on whether they like it or not.

It takes all of us to make the readers group. And we all are valued wherever we stand. Which team do you play for among these teams? That is what we are discussing at Fee Kelly’s blog today with the question – “Do you review every book that you read?“

We have Jo Linsdell, Brandy Potter, Eline and Leslie Conzatti answering this question with their opinions. We also have a lot of readers sharing their opinion on the topic. Come and join the fun at ebooksaddict.net.

Tomorrow we shall be on my blog with the question “What authors do you always read and recommend?” Looking forward to having you all in my house and having a bucket load of fun.
