Diy Date Night Ideas

Date nights can become expensive and you often end up running out of ideas of places to go. So have a change and try some DIY ideas. With Valentines day just around the corner I hope these will come in useful for some of you.
01. Movie nightProbably one of the most popular, but there are still some special twists you can add to this. Pick a movie, either go out and buy a new one or watch one you already have. Then get some treats in, you could go for just some sweets or popcorn or an indulgent alternative, such as:

• Bake some cakes/cookies together to enjoy with a film
• Chocolate fondu with anything you fancy. My favorite is strawberries and marshmallows.
• A selection of Italian meats, cheeses & bread. Add a few extras such as olives/crackers and it could be your evening meal.

02. Games nightThis can be enjoyed with friends. Take yourselves away from the internet/TV and play a good old board game. There's a lot of fun, new board games out there now that are great to enjoy with friends.
03. Home made Romantic MealThis is another popular one, but one that never gets old for me. Cook your partners favorite food, maybe surprise them after a long day at work. Lay the table with lots of candles and dim the lighting to make it that little more special.
04. Sunset picnicThis is one for the summer, but either make or buy a picnic and take a walk to a nice spot. Then eat, enjoy each others company and watch the sun set. This is one of my favorite things to do on a warm Summers evening.
05. Drive to a memorable placeIs there a place that you both love going? Maybe it's the place you both met. Take a trip back there and reminisce on that memory. You could take a picnic, or find a cute little restaurant to eat at.
