The fire started at 12 midnight supposedly from the basement of the 5-story mall located at the corner of Tabora Street and Juan Luna Street. Investigators were told by security guards of the said mall, that before the fire started, they heard an explosion coming from the basement. Security guard Teodoro Enriquez and utility worker Franklin Peralta were trapped inside the building but were rescued two hours after the fire erupted.The fire that hit the Divisoria Mall in Binondo, Manila and continues to rage on, prompting firefighters to raise the fire alarm Task Force Charlie.
