
Fit Family Challenge to Finish 2013 Summer Program with District 5 Fit Family Finale

WHAT: Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales, an Ironman Triathlete, will be on hand as sponsor of the District 5 Fit Family Finale, which closes out the 2013 Fit Family Challenge. Families can try free kayaking on the San Antonio River in addition to other fun activities such as human hamster ball races, B-Cycle bike rides, RoTenGo and more.

Hundreds of families will visit Roosevelt Park for the final Big Event of the 2013 Fit Family Challenge. Activities for the entire family include kayaking the San Antonio River, Community First hamster ball races, soccer clinics with The Soccer Factory, B-Cycle demonstrations, and a basketball tournament. There will also be FREE backpacks available to the first 600 people. The final winner of the Fit Family Challenge $1,000 grand prize will be chosen. Door prizes include: San Antonio Scorpions tickets, B-Cycle memberships and more.
The San Antonio Sports Fit Family Challenge is a summer program with the mission of inspiring thousands of families to get moving.
