Dinner Shares Melancholic, Slow-Burning Visual for ‘Lie’ [Video]

I first came across Dinner a couple years ago, stumbling on his fantastic song “Going Out” on Captured Tracks’ Soundcloud. I was instantly hooked by his bombastic and completely over the top production, featuring vocals that were as mesmerizing as they were weird. I immediately took it by upon myself to delve into his three previously released EP’s. Filled with some absolute gems, these releases had me waiting eagerly for a full length, which has finally arrived in the form of Psychic Lovers, his debut album on Captured Tracks.

Anders Rhedin has now shared a visual for his new single “Lie”, perhaps his most vulnerable and melancholic to date. Swapping the bombast for a slow-burning lament, Rhedin’s voice stands enveloped in minimal guitar and electronic atmosphere, while the visual accompaniment reflects the spareness of the track. He may just be one of my favorite artists of the moment.
