On 23rd April 2013 the Australian population ticked over 23 million people. OK, so we’re insignificant in numbers but we’re pretty proud of the general output.
The milestone seemed like a good occasion to have a look at Australia’s online, social media and mobile use. But we’ve taken a different approach by breaking the numbers down as if Australia was a village of 100 people. That’s right, the real numbers have been scaled down to give us a different perspective.
The stats we’ve used have come from three key sources for mobile (Our Mobile Planet), social media (Social Media News) and general online usage (Neilsens).
