Did You Know: If You Visit Neptune, Your Body Would Get Ripped Apart

Neptune-planet

NASA’s Curiosity Rover is currently working hard on planet Mars to make sure it’s safe for a human landing. It’s only a matter of time before we step on Mars, followed by rest of the planets on our solar system. Although, in the future if you happen to catch a rocket trip around the solar system, make sure you don’t step on Neptune because if you do, your body will probably get ripped apart.

Neptune is the farthest and the fourth biggest planet in our solar system. This giant blue bubble is hard to miss. It’s actually 17 times bigger than Earth and known for the unusual weather patterns. Voyager 2, the only spacecraft to get close to this planet to do a flyby in 1989, and discovered a “Great Dark Spot” on Neptune, a hurricane about the size of the Earth. These were “driven” all over the planet by super fast winds that goes over 2,100 km/h (1,300 mph). That’s twice the speed needed to break the sound barrier, which is enough to rip a human body apart.

So, unless you’re the Flash, you won’t stand a chance to survive on this planet. Not only because of the fast winds, but also because of the extremely cold temperature.
