Devon Williams (@devontwilliams) released his Euphoria LP just as the days began getting a bit shorter and a lot colder, but the vibe is so completely summer-y, that it’s difficult to notice. On his first solo full-length since 2008’s Carefree, the LA singer/songwriter created a soundscape that sounds a bit like 1970s Beatles on mushrooms (well, double mushrooms).

The opening track “Revelations” is a joyful jaunt over playful keyboards and the last track “La La La LA“ is an ethereal adventure into 80s-influenced, psychedelic synth-rock. In between, Williams manages to hit all those pressure points that make this album a great choice for curing your winter blues. His most successful smile-inducer is the single “Your Sympathy” which combines jangling guitars and unexpected strings with an insanely memorable and catchy melody.
