Determined to Climb

Last June 8-9, 2013 was one of my unforgettable dates. Why? Because together with my climbing group “MALAKAT Outdoors’ we had our “Charity Climb” at Mantalongon, Dalaguete, Cebu. We gave away school supplies to the less fortunate pupils. After the said event, we proceed to Osmeña Peak to stay overnight at our what we call ‘play ground’. From Osmeña Peak, we traversed to Kawasan Falls in Badian, Cebu, where we trekked for almost 9 hours. Days after that, I was sent to the hospital because I developed a skin allergy. Doctors said, it was due to some pollen substance that irritates my skin. Nevertheless, it did not hinder my will to climb. For me, skin allergy can happen anytime regardless of where you go to. One can get skin allergy by merely staying in the city. This coming August 24-25, 2013, together with some other mountaineers, will be a Friendship Climb to be held in Mt. Hambubuyog, Ginatilan Cebu. My group was honored to be invited by BAGTAK Mountaineers. Everyone is now excited for the event not just because it will be our first time in Mt.
