A 33 year old Desloge man has died in a two-vehicle accident on Missouri Route 8, east of Hunt Street. According to the article, the Desloge, Missouri man was driving a 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier when he attempted to overtake a 1993 Ford Econoline 35 and lost control around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night. The Cavalier skidded sideways and struck the front of the Econoline. The collision caused the Cavalier to travel off the side of the roadway and down a steep embankment.
While the driver of the Cavalier was killed, his 34 year old passenger, a Park Hills, Missouri man is listed in serious condition at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
The article did not report whether anyone in the Econoline was injured.
