So, I have a confession to make…. this week’s Real Mom Street Style Linkup featuring bloggers and their real style posts, is the same as last week!! Below you will find the posts that were added last week, but if you would like to add a new link you can as I’ve kept it open.
I’ve had NO TIME to be at my computer this week to visit all of the links that were added last week, and since it really means a lot to me to actually read all the posts that link up and spread the word about them, I’m going to repost last week’s. Blogging is a lot of work, and I really appreciate that these bloggers find the time to share their everyday style looks and link up with me!!
The World of Blogging
Recently I’ve been contacted by many different designers to feature their collections on the blog, I’m also putting together a few different series’ featuring companies that really mean a lot to ME and articles I hope will be very helpful. I’m learning, though, that blogging is much more than writing and posting on the blog. You have to build community, connect with other bloggers, spread the word about your posts (unless you are ok with no one reading them!)…..all of this takes so much time. A blog is a full time job, and I’ve been squeezing in the hours between 2 and 9 am on most nights!
It is easy to forget that aside from my online life I have a real life! A little person that wakes in the morning and is with me all day. A husband that would like to have conversations with me in the evening, instead of having me disappear to my computer. Oh and then there are friends, grocery shopping, cooking, working out and everything else. Blogging on the side is a lot of work, but it is so rewarding.
So I’m going to start changing the rules a bit, and not apologizing when I need to change things up. I do the best I can, I have loyal readers that I truly value, and I have bloggers that read this blog that comment! I need (want) to find time to respond to everyone without sacrificing my personal offline life…is this even possible? Any suggestions are appreciated!
Real Mom Style
This week’s Real Mom Street Style is a stylish mom I met last week at the Christmas Market. She is a more mature woman and I love how she kept her style very fun with a Desigual dress and a faux fur coat.
Her look is so fun! And I love how everything works along a black and cream monochrome theme without getting boring, because her skirt has such a fun print.
Notice how she’s wearing Military Boots, I’ve written before here about Italians and the military boot trend. They are literally EVERYWHERE! And not just this season by every season!
There has been a lot of rain this season, but I’m not complaining it is always warm during the day, even if rain is a little annoying! But her rainy day style is actually pretty cheerful, she finds the right balance between functional (warm, comfortable, waterproof!) and stylish!
Her bag is by the brand Sécret Pon-Pon, I had never heard of them before but it is so fun. i found them online here, but this exact style is not available.
