Deliciously Bare.

Deliciously Bare.
We've spent this morning taking down the Christmas decorations, they were up a tad longer than usual due to us having family and friends round aover New Year.  The tinsel, the baubles that sat in bowls because we didn't bring the little tree in this year, and all the little sparkly bits and pieces are safely contained in this box until next year.
Deliciously Bare.
The outdoor lights and tinsel are down, dried and packed away and added to the top of the box.  I loved the look of the house outside as night so we will repeat it next year and have left the hooks in place as they can't be seen.
Deliciously Bare.
The house is now looking deliciously bare.  I love it.
I did a good clean up of all the surfaces after everything was safely packed away and after this photo was taken and then put our few 'normal' bits and pieces back after washing and cleaning them. Next I had a minor shift around of plants and then ran the hoover round the downstairs.
Life is back to normal.
Deliciously Bare.
The few Christmas sweets that are left are now contained in a glass jar, all the rest were given to my son to take for the grandchildren and the things he didn't eat or want to take will be donated to the Foodbank trolley next time I am in Sainsbury's.
Our healthy eating plan and a push to lose weight starts in earnest on Monday ...  I always find Monday is a good day to start .... only this time it's not ending on Wednesday!!   ;-)
Now we are off to brave the weather and walk the dogs around the prom in Llandudno.  Fresh, clear space in the house and fresh air in our lungs, it all bodes well for the year ahead.
I'll be back with my musings about what I'm up to this coming year tomorrow.
Sue xx
