Last week in Decorating in the Clueless Camp, I vented about the blue wall that plagued my master bedroom for longer than any decorating faux pas should ever be allowed to haunt a person.
So now with the eye sore gone, the gauntlet has been thrown down and it's time to decorate "Fo real." This summer, I'm getting serious, seriously stylish, and it's all starting with the dark palmetto.
I know that sounds like it might be something dirty, but it's totally not.
It's a color.
A paint color.
So that's my backdrop or inspiration for my design. I'm pretty excited since I've been um, living in a really large college dorm room for the last 4 years. It's time I get my grown up sexy on (HGTV style).
My first step was tackling the long back wall and making that my new focal wall, after all, it is the first one you see when you walk into the room.
Yes, my name is Skillz, cause I be havin' 'em. That's right, all those years of watching HGTV, TLC, and the Style Network is finally paying off. I'm like a college Freshman quoting text that I don't understand, but I think I'm doing a pretty good job of playing designer, don't you think?
