Debenhams Winter Style Challenge

By Bella @fashioncultblog
I saw a post on Victoria's blog about a competition run by Debenhams, all you have to do is produce two mood boards: one of a wintery daytime outfit and the other of a evening/party wintery outfit. Victoria and Natasha will be judging the entrants - which is quite nice due to them both being fellow bloggers.

Therefore here are my two mood boards below:

debenhams winter style 1

Black slouch pu tshirt £10 / Black checked pencil skirt £30/ Grey Beaded Knot Necklace £25 / Black crosshatch patent grab bag £20.30 / Navy 100D opaque soft and smooth cotton tights £6.50 / Black western strap ankle boots £27.50 /Creamy Matte Lip Color £19 / TOTAL = £138.30

I loved this tartan skirt so this formed the key piece of my outfit and then I based everything around it, I kept everything else quite basic however even though the other items are black I have tried to incorporate different textures for example, Shiny PVC, faux leather, & matt black. I wanted to add a pop of color and you can't go wrong with a red lip, especially in the winter when everyone's lost their summer tan.
debenhams winter style 2Black flock fringe kimono £17 / Designer light pink lace dress £40 / Black 'Daina' high sandals £35 / Designer black leather eyelet clutch bag £27.30 / Chloe Eau de Parfum 30ml £42/ TOTAL = £161.30
I think  this style of dress is such a good piece to have in your wardrobe the style is so simple -whilst flattering. I incorporated the black to contrast with the girly look/feel of the dress, I love doing this with outfits as it completely transforms a typically girly item. Finally to finish it off my favourite perfume.
