A de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide belonging to the Military Aviation Museum on display during the Wings Over the Beach airshow.  The Dragon Rapide was a short-haul biplane airliner developed and produced by de Havilland in the 1930s.  First flown in 1934, 727 would be built for civil and military use (as the Dominie) during WWII. The Royal Navy retired the last of their Dominies in 1963.  Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII), owned a Dragon Rapide, which he frequently used for carrying out his royal duties. He flew this aircraft to London on his accession as king in 1936, making him the first British monarch to fly. Nikon D7000 with 18-200mm.
