De Havilland Canada DHC-3T Turbine Otter

July 2007

This Harbour Air Turbine Otter was captured using my Panasonic DMC-FZ30 “bridge camera” (the year before I took the DSLR plunge) in Vancouver Harbor from the deck of our cruise ship.  Lots of seaplanes in that part of the country, very cool to see and hear.  Designed to be larger than the Beaver, the Otter was originally named the King Beaver and only 466 were built between 1951-1967.  Processed with Aperture.
