DC Comic’s Move To Stop Rihanna From Trademarking ‘Robyn’

So DC Comics is being petty because they are trying to stop Robyn Rihanna Fenty from trademarking “Robyn,” which is her real name. I wish y’all could see my face right now because I’m disgusted. DC comics is saying that the name “Robyn” is too close to the sidekick of Batman, which is spelt R-O-B-I-N. And this is why DC isn’t winning. Instead of focus on their brands especially movies they more concerned about the name Robyn. Thats why Marvel stays winning. Check out more deets on this childish case below.

Reported by Pirated Thoughts and The Outhousers, Rihanna filed the trademark application in June 2014 as part of a larger effort to build a fashion and cosmetics empire. “Robyn” is intended to be used for “providing on-line non-downloadable general feature magazines,” which apparently alerted DC’s lawyers.

An official opposition to the application was filed last week with the United States Trademark and Patent Office, which argued that “consumers are likely to be deceived” into believing any products marked “Robyn” originated with DC Comics. I guess this is a fair argument because people in the world don’t know that DC’s Robin is spelt with an I instead of an Y. *rolls eyes* I guess DC get your money anyway possible especially since you aren’t getting it from your movies Like Marvel is. #TeamMarvel #TeamNavy #TeamRihanna
