The best place to spend Spring in America is easily, Washington DC. Their world famous Cherry Blossom Festival takes center stage as the entire district is covered in blooms. I wasn't able to attend the festival, but I was able to go and enjoy the blossoms.
The day was perfect- the blossoms had just reached peak bloom, the sun was shining, it was the first day to reach eighty degrees, the breeze was making it snow flower petals, and there was plenty of shade under those magnificent cherry blossoms. I walked around the Tidal Basin, admiring the view of the Jefferson Memorial, said hello to the army of LDS Missionaries that were out, and really just soaked it all in.
