With their new track “Most People”, L.A-based rock quartet, Dawes, has done something few contemporary artists, let alone musicians in general, can do: make music that both my parents and I would like. This new song’s colorful guitar and crashing drums give off an astonishingly modern country rock sound. Along with the heartwarming, storytelling lyrics fervently sung by vocalist Taylor Goldsmith, this song somehow blurs the often bold generational line that exists within modern music. This single is off their latest album, Stories Don’t End, and has just been paired with a music video that features shifting scenes from their latest tour. The soft, nostalgic aesthetic fits perfect with the yearning and sentimental song. Listen to the track, watch the video, call your parents and enjoy!
