Danish Pastries

Danish Pastries
About two years ago or so, a track erupted from the underground which would soon pave the way for many copy cats that never came close to capturing it’s prowess let alone its originality. Around the same time, another track with perhaps the most infectious bass line I have heard this side of the millennium was released and all of a sudden the clubbing world stood up and took note of that sound growing in Denmark’s coastal capital of Copenhagen. The first of these was Kenton Slash Demon’s 'Khattabi' and the second of these was James Braun and Dan M’s 'Lessons part 1' on Mothership. What followed was a tirade of releases on what would become one of my favourite labels: Tartelet Records.
Now, in a city awash with trendy club nights and venues claiming to have the “hippest” line ups around, one super team of super promoters have laid down the gauntlet on a night that should make the world (perhaps not the world, but definitely London and its neighbouring towns) stand up and take note. Who needs to go to the WMC when there is this bad boy brewing in London’s Sleazy Easy?
The Fill Yer Boots collective have enlisted the services of these aforementioned luminaries to perform at their new HQ in South East London: Brixton’s Plan B.
Headlining the night will be Kenton Slash Demon playing a very exclusive yet even more exciting live set and James Braun who will be serving up his unique blend of House and Techno on the ones and twos. This night is guaranteed to make your mouth water and your feet tap. On warm up duties we have Flora Yin-Wong of Nobody Cares About Kitsune, Slutty Fringe and Dazed and Confused. We also have the residents Daniel Ghazvinie and Leisureware who will be the at hand to provide the freshest sounds from the House spectrum.
As a little taster, download the Kenton Slash Demon mix from a while back that first featured on the now defunct but much respected Curb Crawlers blog.
