DanCool Tube: Star Wars Puppy Love. AT AT Day Afternoon. You Have Some Jabba The Poo On Your Shoe.

By Danthatscool @DanScontras

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or living on Hot Pockets while absorbed in some form of non-Jedi related online experience (you non-Rebel Alliance Geek, you…!) you already know that it’s pretty much been an unofficial National Star Wars Blu Ray Weekend anywhere beyond the limits of your parents’ basement.

George Lucas has decided that even though he and Oprah Winfrey already own most of the free world, the time has come to finally release Star Wars: The Complete Saga on blu ray.  Hardcore Geekwads are all up in arms over more Lucas tweaks to the original films…something he has done previously in all the other re-re-releases of the six films.

They’re his babies, and he can dress them however he wants before he sends them out of the house.

But I’m not going to get into a comic store fist fight over Puppet Yoda vs. Digital CGI Yoda, or question whether or not Ewoks can really blink.  I’m not an authority…and I’ve got a life.

Well…that, and the fact that The Real Housewives of New Jersey are on tonight and I still don’t have any snacks in the house.  I need to keep my focus.

So to stay all DannyTrendy for the pop culture junkies and show my support to anyone who has ever gotten their head stuck in a Darth Vader helmet at Toys ‘R’ Us, I present AT AT Day Afternoon.

This mini flick is slick.  Created by Patrick Boivin, one of the best stop motion animation guys out there, the short gives life to one of the most popular vintage toys from the original Trilogy.  Gives life, and some Puppy Love.  It’s short, and it’s funny.  Check out his entire collection.  What he does with a camera and action figures is nothing short of amazing.

Very DanCool, and probably the only time I’ll be able to say Jabba The Poo.

(And to the hardcore Star Wars nerds:  Yes, I know an AT AT Walker can’t really run that fast.  Der.)
