Cuddle Every Chance You Get

By Thepracticalmommy2 @PracticalMommy2

I'm sitting here on my couch next to a sick kid. A stuffy nose, scratchy cough kind of a sick kid. He asked if I would cuddle with him. At first, I was hesitant due to the contagions he emits into the air every 5 seconds, but I sat down with him anyway.

Man, this kid wiggles.

He's not going to be little forever. In a few years, he'll be school-aged, aware that cuddling with mama is so not cool. A few years after that, when he's a pre-teen, I'll definitely be not cool. Forget about when he's a full-blown teen who has automatic deafness when it comes to parents' voices....

Oh sure, there will be times when he'll need me again: when he's in college and needs help with a paper, when he thinks he found his one true love, when he has little kids of his own and needs a babysitter. Sigh. By then, he'll be too old to cuddle with mama.

I'll take this, right here--boogery sneezes and all.
