Cruise Ship Fun Adventures!

By Travelingdivas
Hey everyone,
So we are at a different hotel near the airport and cruise port, the Crowne Plaza. Last night we ate dinner at Outback Steakhouse and the total came out to $3.59! We had a gift certificate for $25!! The we cruised through Fort Lauderdale Intercoastal Waterway and Seabreeze Boulevard. There were so many people for Spring Break and St. Patrick's day. It was a combo of them both, which unfortunately took about 1 hour just to pass through. We returned the car back at Avis and waited for the complimentary hotel shuttle to pick us up. When returning the car at Avis, we complained about the odor of the smoke in the car, as well as the burned rubber smell whenever we would turn on the air conditioner. The attendant didn't seem to care, so we told the manager and he took off $30 from the total cost which we thought was justifiable. The hotel adventure was interesting because we were given a handicapped accessible room, which was indeed, very spacious. We tried to change rooms and perhaps give the room to someone who actually needed it. The hotel was completely full so we were stuck with the room. So the manager in return, couldn't do enough for us. He gave us complimentary breakfast, shuttle to the cruise port, and a free drink on the house.
Now we are going to grab some breakfast, take the shuttle to the cruise ship, and check in with HAL. We will be on the Eastern Caribbean cruise going to Grand Turk, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, and a private island of the Bahamas(Half moon Cay) for a week. We will take lots of footage to put on our Youtube channel. Our phones will be off to avoid the awful roaming charges bill that we received 2 years ago!! So if you need to contact us, be sure to send an email ... its under the "Contact Us" tab on our website!
See you in a week!!!!!
