Cranberry Apple Chutney

By Tejal Hewitt @Tejal_x

When you start seeing bags of fresh cranberries for £1 you know it’s getting closer to Christmas and time to make some chutney!

I love Christmas season, as you have yummy foods like cranberry chutney with cheese and biscuits or quorn turkey sandwich with some spiced cranberry and apple chutney.

This chutney does keep well for a good six months – should last longer ( but generally doesn’t in my household)

With a good balance of spice, sweet and tart this Chutney is definitely one of my favourites!

and heat to the boil and reduce to simmer for about 20minutes

Apples and cranberries will soften and the mixture will get thicker

Spoon into a sterilized jar and allow to cool then leave in a cupboard ready for Christmas!
