One thing I have learnt since the time I moved to U.S. is the benefit of couponing! While growing up the trend was not as prevalent but now with the boost of e-commerce worldwide you find coupons for practically for everything, you should just be willing. (Remember this post on GAP?)  

I was recently introduced to the site CupoNation, which provides coupons and vouchers for a lot of popular e-retailers in India, for example, Jabong, Pepperfry, etc. You will also find some coupons which are exclusive to CupoNation. 

If you are new to the concept of Couponing, let me explain it in brief - Once you have decided you need something, you simply log into and check whether there is a deal or a coupon available for the same product/service which might earn you a little discount. OR alternatively, you can regularly keep an eye open for coupons/deals for the products you know you often use (e.g. restaurant and movies may be!). It is truly a win-win situation. 

Now in U.S. it is considered an old lady's activity, to use coupons, but with online shopping, you do not even have to embarrassed about that, because it is just you in front of your computer screen after all. No one to mock (and even if they did, just think of all the money you would be saving and the joke would really be on them!)
