Côte d'Azur: Monaco

The French Riviera is a very popular destination, especially in the summer months.  The Principality of Monaco, also known as the Rock, is a very small yet independent country located there.  It is subdivided in 10 parts, the most important ones being Monaco Ville, where the old town as well as the palace are located, and Monte Carlo, where the famous Casino of Monte Carlo is.  Once a year the streets of Monaco host the Formula 1 championship bringing a lot of people to the area.
