Two officers of the Egoda Uyana Police in Moratuwa succeeded in pushing a shark into water on Thursday night.
This shark that was washed a shore in the sea off Egoda Uyana was 7.5 feet in length. These two police officers had also informed Wildlife Department to save the life of the mammal that was injured by hitting the stone fence.
These two police officers had taken off their uniforms, pushed the shark into the water in the night.
Several fishermen who were around had tried to bring the shark ashore and kill it.However the police intervened and took steps to save the shark’s life.
