I absolutely love cooking and it's not very often I get the chance to make a proper meal out of a recipe book, usually I just guess when making something and throw whatever I think will be nice into it. Me and my boyfriend are pretty similar when it comes to food, and we would much rather cook our own than go out for a meal.
Ingredients (this is enough for 2 people)- Minced beef- 1 onion, chopped- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped (we love garlic so that's why I add 2 cloves, but if you're not a fan of strong garlic then 1 will be enough)- Some sliced mushrooms (as many as you like) - 1 tin of chopped tomatoes- Spaghetti (again, as much as you like)
First of all put a pan of water onto boil, I also add a little olive oil to the pan as I find it helps to stop the spaghetti sticking together once served.
Then add a little oil to a frying pan and once hot add the minced beef, garlic and onion. Fry this, string it often until the mince is brown and the onions are starting to become soft.
Once this has been cooked enough, add the mushrooms and stir. Then add the tin of tomatoes and give it all a good stir. By this time your water for the spaghetti should be boiling, so put it on to boil (unless you've already done this). Whilst your spaghetti cooks, leave the bolognese mix to simmer on a low heat.
And finally once the pasta is cooked you're done. A really simple yet delicious meal that can be made in well under an hour - enjoy!
