Converting Conventional Central Heating System to a Combination System- Video02

By Futli @futlim

The job was off kenton Lane, Harrow Middlesex. The old low pressure conventional system was replaced by a Vaillant 831 combination boiler. The boiler was protected by a Magnaclean filter and a Limefighter. The gas pipe was replaced with 28 mm until the cooker and reduced to 22 mm after that until the boiler. The small tank ( feed & expansion) and the big tank ( cold water storage) was removed from the loft. Also the hot water cylinder was removed from the airing cupboard. The cold water supply is now connected to the mains. The toilet cistern started to overflow, I went there and adjusted the water level , and it was fine. The incoming cold water flow rate on this job was not very good, and it was out of our hands. Client was adviced to get a replacement cold water pipe from the meter to under the kitchen sink to further improve the hot water pressure.
