Convergence Leads Patients to Expect “all-in-one” Treatment from Dentists

Technology has not only made it possible for people to have all the information they need in their lives one touch away on a single device but to expect such convenience out of everyone they encounter—including dentists, who need to take advantage of the cloud movement and have everything a patient needs ready for him or her at a moment’s notice. The ability of a dentist to quickly capture information (such as X-rays, photos and patient histories) and then access and share it both with the patient and within the office will improve his or her efficiency as well as engender trust with the patient, whose satisfaction will make it more likely he or she will both return and recommend friends to the practice.
