I find it very hard to believe that it was back in October that I posted the first of the Richie Rich Three Dimensional Stickers, and started working on a way to differentiate the variants. Where does the time go? And here we are in February, and I have only posted one exhibit so far this year. To help compensate, today I am posting two exhibits!
First up, we have what I will call the “short blue Richie in pain” variant. It has the same blue cardboard hanger as the “short blue Cadbury” variant posted last time. There are two stickers of Richie, one of Gloria, and one of Dollar, same as the other variant but posed differently. Instead of Cadbury, we are given Nurse Jenny. This is the first appearance of Nurse Jenny here at the Harvey Mercheum, but this is not the only variant to depict her. So how do I name this variant? Well, if you follow what Nurse Jenny is turning her head to look at, you see Richie looking distressed with little stars of pain radiating from him. Either he sat on his wallet, or he is experiencing lower back pain at a very young age, probably from lifting money bags. So I am calling this the “short blue Richie in pain” variant.

Next, we have the “short red Cadbury” variant. Here the stickers are the same as the original “short blue Cadbury” variant, but we have a different cardboard hanger. The word “STICKERS” is in a different font, and the picture is different. It is Richie and Dollar, same as the blue hanger, but here Richie is a mirror image of the Richie in pain sticker! Way to get some extra use out of your artwork!

My guess is there were a certain number of different cardboard hangers, and a certain number of different sticker sheets, and they got mixed and matched at random, or close to it. The question becomes, how many different hangers were there, and how many sticker sheets? I will post more combinations in the future, but will never be able to answer that question with certainty.
