What I’m most excited about: THE BEER! I’m happy to say that there will be local beer and wine available, including two awesome announcements:
The 2017 People’s Fair will include Denver’s own Great Divide Brewing’s DPA Artist Series Can Release: the public release of its Denver Pale Ale artist series can #2! More info will be released the week of the festival. Here’s more info on the artist from last year and the program.
Also, Grapes & Grains Gardens: a mini beer/wine festival within the festival. $10 for 5 tokens to sample beer from Great Divide and wine from Infinite Monkey Theorem. These are specialty beers/wines that are not available at the regular bars. Plus, the ticket price includes a commemorative glass.
More Details: Musical performances by Guster, Night Riots, and Jeremy Garrett’s Fiddle Science – a supergroup featuring members of Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters and Gipsy Moon – as well as over 30 other performances including bands, artists, drag shows, and creative community entertainers, this year’s People’s Fair sets the stage for a massive cultural showcase event that is uniquely Denver.
With a focus on community engagement and interactive programming, the People’s Fair will offer events like free morning yoga hosted by Denver-based Kindness Yoga, Art In The Park where attendees can enjoy a beverage or cocktail as they create their own craft project with other inspired patrons, and countless field and lawn games to enjoy with friends new and old. Also at the fair will be a Drag Show, community dance and theater groups, the best local food trucks, and a chance to get to know some of the most innovative upcoming local businesses.
Proceeds go to benefit the Capital Hill United Neighborhoods (CHUN). More info on the event can be found at www.peoplesfair.com.
