ComicCon: “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” Trailer Released

Posted on the 12 July 2015 by Comicspolitics

At the ComicCon in San Diego the first trailer of the upcoming superhero movie “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” got released. Here are first impressions.

Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” got its first over three minutes long trailer. As you can see Superman isn’t quite as popular any more, because when he was fighting General Zod in “Man of Steel”, he left a scene of destruction in Metropolis. Citizens and politicians are starting to wonder if Superman’s powers aren’t too dangerous for life on earth.

Ben Affleck as Batman seems to be an older Batman like in Frank Miller’s comic “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns”. His costume is a strong metal armor which distinguishes it from other Batman movies in the past. Apparently he fights Superman because he isn’t happy about the fact that Superman killed humans in order to save the world.

DC wants to compete with this movie with the Marvel cinematic universe and, considering the first trailer, maybe they can. Marvel productions just want to entertain and stop there. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” on the other hand seems to have a darker and deeper touch, although there might be too many supernatural elements, like Wonderwoman. But see for yourselves:
