Hello beauties! It’s been soooo long since I last reviewed any new product for you. I have missed you lovelies so much but could not afford to give time to writing because of my career requirements, and I apologize profusely for it. But to make up for it, here I am with the review for the latest Colorbar Feel The Rain Collection Matte Lipstick in the shade Storm.
Colorbar launched this new collection during the India Runway Fashion Week and I had my eyes on it since long. Having used it for a couple of times now, I feel confident to review it and do full justice to the review as well. PackagingThe first thing which attracted me to get this little red baby is the super sultry and wet looking packaging. You can say that it has a 3D feel to it with the addition of dew drops on the main lipstick packaging. The outer casing is color corresponding, making it super easy to identify your special shade from a stash of other colours from the same selection. The shade STORM is a bright red hence the similar red coloured packaging. The bullet is very similar to their older lipsticks and nothing too great about it.
PriceThese are decently priced at 650 INR per tube. I say decently priced keeping in mind the insane prices of some other products like blush and bronzers from the same range. Available here
Colour and TextureAs stated, the shade STORM is a deep and bright red—very fiery, very stormy yet very flattering. I am a typical nude lipstick lover and cannot stand a red lip for long. But this red is very toned down and given its deep yellow undertones is the perfect bright red for Indian skin tones. Also, because the lipstick formula is matte, it does not reflect back light. The matte effect makes the lipstick a lot more wearable as it keeps the lipstick bright but not in your face bright. The lipstick has a waxy formula, so it dries down to a semi-matte finish, but despite of the matte finish, it is not drying nor does it tug at the lips. It goes on smooth and takes about 5-7 minutes to set down to a semi-matte finish. Staying PowerAs I said, the lipstick is not completely matte so it does transfer a lot. Atop a good matte lip liner this lipstick will stay put for upto 4 hours with minor fading (if you do not eat greasy food and sip on drinks through a straw). I prefer to wear this lipstick atop a lip primer, a good lip liner and follow up the actual lipstick application with a dusting of translucent powder so that it settles to a complete matte finish which also increases the longevity of the product.Rating 4/5
