Northfield Mount Hermon has once again conducted its nationwide mock presidential election. Over 74,000 high school students participated in the election, and schools from every state participated. This mock election has predicted the winner of six of the last seven presidential elections (with the only miss being the 2004 election between Kerry and Bush).
The mock election compiled overall vote numbers and also numbers for each state to be used in an electoral college simulation. Hillary Clinton turned out to be the big winner. She got about 48% of the raw vote, while Donald Trump got about 34%. Clinton also got 332 electoral college votes to only 206 for Trump. The map above shows how the high school students in each state voted.
