Client Purchases From June Part 2

There were so many great client purchases made in June that I decided to break it into two posts. If you missed part one, that covered dresses, pants and tops and you want to get caught up, you can read it here. In this post I will showing you some of the shoes, shorts and skirts that my clients purchased. Let's keep the ball rolling and take a look.

Client Purchases From June Part 2

Skirts

Client Purchases From June Part 2

While still not the most popular category, skirts really do seem to be making a comeback. This past month these three styles were quite popular.

First, this Karen Kane denim skir t. My client and I laughed at the waistband as it totally reminded us of a maternity waistband. If you have been pregnant you know how comfortable they can be. What you get with the skirt is the structure of denim with the waist ease of elastic. Obviously tucking your tops in isn't an option. But who tucks anything into a denim skirt anyway?

Next, this casual cargo skirt that comes in a variety of colors. It's from Lord & Taylor's private label line and is made from the same fabric as the super comfortable cropped pants I featured yesterday. If you are looking for some variety from pants and shorts, but want something equally casual, this skirt is great.

Lastly, this printed skirt from Nic + Zoe. It's stretch cotton and can be worn to work and on the weekends. It's a nice hybrid style.

Shorts

With shorts becoming increasingly popular again it's much easier to find stylish shorts that actually look good. The most popular styles are definitely denim styles, like this pair from Vince Camuto that are super soft and really comfortable. Next up, this pair of tailored shorts from MICHAEL Michael Kors. They look really good and come in red, white and black. My clients who bought them purchased multiple colors. Lastly, white denim shorts. This pair from Lucky Brand was purchased by one of my clients. They are super stylish and wear like white jeans while being much cooler.

Classic Pumps

We're now moving into shoes. Let's start with pumps.

On the top left is this amazing pair of pewter pumps from MICHAEL MIchael Kors. The metallic is somewhat subdued so they can be worn in the evening but aren't too shiny for daytime wear either. What I have found consistently is that Michael Kors pumps run a bit narrow in the toes. A few of my clients noticed this so I figured it was worth mentioning. They're probably not great if you have bunions or wide feet.

The next pair is also by MICHAEL Michael Kors in a classic beige. The leather is really gorgeous. The heel is wooden so I'd probably just reserve them for daytime and not evening.

Next, a soft blue suede pair from Lord & Taylor that falls into the perfect heel height category. They also work well if you have wider feet or bunions as I have learned through one of my clients.

On the bottom left is a bright orange pair from Tahari. What drew me to this pair is the color. What makes them equally great is the modest heel that makes them easy to wear.

The warm grey pair from Coach has been a real favorite of mine. Three of my clients bought them. Not only are Coach shoes super comfortable, this warm grey shade is really unique and a color you don't find everyday. The color is tremendously versatile.

The Juliana style from Cole Haan is another popular style because of the comfort. Quite a few bought this style in navy. They also sell a lower heel (sadly not available in navy) if this one is too high.

Lastly in classic pumps, this clean, basic nude pair from Brian Atwood was purchased by one of my clients. If you are looking for pumps that will just blend and let your outfit shine, these will work well. Don't let the height scare you, they're quite comfortable...at least according to my client.

Novelty Heels

These styles fall into the heels category but are a bit more novel and less classic.

I am starting with this cognac and black pair from Coach. They hit the stores this month and two clients bought them already. They're beautiful with a black dress or black suit or pants that need some warming up.

Next up, this soft pink suede pair from Ivanka Trump. The color is just stunning, plus the heel height isn't daunting.

Louise et Cie has become such a popular shoe line with my clients. If you aren't familiar with the line, Louise Camuto is the wife of the late Vince Camuto. She launched her own shoe line, Louise et Cie, in 2013 and, I have to say, I am impressed. This particular pair of strappy snakeskin sandals are suitable for both work (depending on the dress code where you work) and weekend.

The strappy nude pair with turn lock closure is another pair from Coach so you know they are comfortable. I love the look with a flouncy skirt, pair of cropped ankle pants, and more. Many of my heel averse clients even liked these.

Now you know I'm not a fan of black pumps, but this pair from MICHAEL Michael Kors was worth pulling because they are really cool. When they are on the feet the mesh looks like fishnets. They're really sexy and chic.

The ombre pumps are from Brian Atwood and almost resemble a classic bowling ball. There is just something fun about them without going overboard. A great pair to consider if you want something special without a lot of bells and whistles.

Lastly, these booties. It's hard to believe we're moving into booties again. They're just starting to hit the stores again and the client who bought this pair from MICHAEL Michal Kors lives in a warmer climate and can probably wear these well into the winter.

Casual Shoes

Client Purchases From June Part 2

This last category is covering casual shoes. First, the top left metallic wedges are from Donald J. Pliner. They're super comfortable and can be dressed up and dressed down.

Next, the cork Shutz wedges. What makes these sandals so versatile is the flatform style that makes they look higher than they are. If you look closely, the heel is only about an inch and a half but the platform creates comfortable height. They can make the legs look longer and can even be worn with shorts.

The flip flop sandals are from Vionic in two different colors. One client bought both shades after we searched for those perfect sandals that she can wear as walking shoes. These are so comfortable and supportive.

The slip on shoes are from Frye and both shades, the metallic gold and the taupe, were both very popular with my clients. While slip on sneakers have been popular, many styles can make the feet look clunky and masculine. These Frye slip ons give you a feminine look while addressing the trend. Plus, they are incredibly cozy.

Lastly, these Born wedges. At first glance they looked high and possibly uncomfortable. However, they are Born, a brand known for comfort. My client put them on and she was in love. If you are looking for a heeled wedge but are afraid of being uncomfortable, check these out, for sure.

I hope you enjoyed this recap of client purchases for June. I look forward to updating you the end of July with more standout purchases.
