This week is apparently "thrift shopping week" on my blog, it was completely unintentional- but I'm going with it. Brandi's guest post kicked it off with some great tips, yesterday's apartment tour featured some of my favorite thrifted, decor items, and today I am talking about getting that weird, thrift store smell out of the fabric items that come home with you- using Suavitel fabric softener.
There is a rush that comes with finding treasures in thrift shops. You dig, you hunt, you scour, and are rewarded when those amazing pieces are found. Some of my favorite clothes have been picked up in thrift stores, and nothing beats the price tag! But there's one thing that I don't love... that musty, thrift store smell... Sometimes one wash isn't quite enough to rid your "new" clothes or other fabric items of that smell. That's where Suavitel comes in.
This fabric softener has a strong and beautiful aroma that is sure to make my second hand clothes come out smelling like flowers (or whatever scent you purchase). The quick drying feature is great for me, because I don't like waiting around, all day, for my laundry to dry- especially if it's something I hang dry. I love having some extra time to run back over to my local thrift shop and dig around for more treasures!
To give you some inspiration to hit up your local thrift store, I've put together a post featuring some of my favorite, thrifted items. So, sit back, be inspired to save, head over to your nearest thrift shop to stock up on goodies. Then, head to Walmart where you can find Suavitel fabric softener to make your new-to-you wardrobe smell fresh and clean.

I found this Dooney and Bourke bag in a consignment shop, just last week! Love is an understatement. Of course I didn't wash it in the laundry, but I needed to include it.

I found this blanket on my trip to Utah in August and had to have it. It was too big to fit in my suitcase but was totally worth shipping back east! View it in my decor tour HERE.
