Clarins Everlasting Foundation + SPF 15 Review

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Clarins are always at the top of the spectrum when it comes to foundations and when the new Everlasting Foundation + SPF15 was released I was more than happy to get my hands on it when it came popping on through my mailbox.
Clarins Everlasting Foundation + SPF 15 Review My shade is definitely porcelain but there are 10 shades available so you will definitely find your ideal shade in there somewhere!
I love that the Clarins foundation bottles are all frosted because it feels like a vintage glass bottle - I have no idea if that makes any sense! Again, I am a winner of describing things... or not!
You only need a really small amount of this, so I would definitely recommend you go for one pump and then add more as you need it.  The mixture definitely goes a long way because it has the SPF included.
In terms of coverage, I would say this has a medium coverage and is buildable to a more full coverage if that's your thing. Personally, I like the medium coverage for my skin type.  The finish is definitely dewy without being oily which is all down to some major science that is way beyond my understanding!
According to the press release, The High Fidelity System is an invisible microfilm of new generation silicones, 100% natural hectorite powders. The silicones bond with the skin’s own hydrolipidic film and the hectorite controls shine, delivering impeccable day-long matte coverage. The High Fidelity System also ensures that the color pigments are evenly distributed and super-adherent giving a flawless complexion and even color from dawn to dusk. Finely ground bamboo powder has mattifying properties which give exceptional hold whilst minimizing the appearance of dark spots, imperfections and redness, for a totally flawless skin result.
None of that makes much sense to me if I'm honest, but the main things you need to know are:
  • It has SPF 15 which will protect your skin against harmful sun rays.
  • Despite having SPF, it doesn't feel oily on the skin
  • It has a matte finish
  • Lasts all day without sliding around your face. Result!
Overall, I was pretty darn impressed with this foundation and would probably wear it throughout the entire year. It's definitely what I would describe as a 'reliable' foundation.
What do you think? have you used it before?
